How the CobraTrak ADR system works
Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR)
The ADR is a pocket sized card that you carry with you whilst driving the vehicle. When you leave the car and take the ADR card with you, the tracking system becomes activated. If the vehicle is moved during the time the ADR card isn’t present, this signals a potential theft and the Cobra Secure Operating Centre is notified. This feature is particularly useful if your car is stolen using your own keys, because the theft would still be detected.
Tow Away Alert
The CobraTrak ADR system is set to trigger automatically should your car be towed away or moved without the keys in the ignition.
Tamper Alert
In the event of your vehicle’s battery being disconnected or the wires cut, the tracking system becomes activated.
In addition to the above security features, the CobraTrak ADR system provides a jamming alert should anyone try to jam the GSM signal.
Theft detection and recovery
When the CobraTrak ADR system is activated, your vehicle will be surrounded by a 100 metre invisible shield. If the vehicle is moved, the Cobra Operating Centre is notified silently and they will attempt to contact you. At that point, if you confirm the theft, Cobra will then work with the police to recover your vehicle as quickly as possible.
