The VTT FORD FOCUS 2012 RUNLOCK is a complete CAN based Runlock system for the Ford Focus Key Version (2012 Onwards).This particular Interface is compatible with the Ford Focus from 2012 and is only for use with vehicles that have a single button on the dash to lock and unlock the vehicle. In 2015, Ford released an updated version of the Focus that has a rocker switch on the door with 2 buttons, one to lock the vehicle and another to unlock it. Details

The interface uses the OE Remote Key to lock the vehicle and enables the key to be removed whilst the ignition is running. The Runlock System is activated by the use of a momentary switch, which can be purchased here at a small cost, and once pressed, the vehicle will allow the key to be turned to the 'off position' and removed with the engine staying on. The doors can then be locked and unlocked securely using the vehicles own remote. If an unauthorised person enters the vehicle and attempts to drive away, the Runlock System will automatically turn the engine off if any of the safety monitoring features are triggered. The owner of the vehicle will be required to reinsert the key into the Ignition in order to operate the vehicle.

These offer the convenience of locking control, using the original remote key where possible and advanced security against unauthorised vehicle movement. These systems include a range of monitoring features detected directly via the vehicle CAN system for maximum functionality and security with minimal installation effort

The interface incorporates a multi-function status LED, which indicates correct connection to the CAN system, CAN activity present and confirmation that the CAN identity has been recognised.
