The Runlock System is activated by the use of a momentary switch, which can be purchased here at a small cost, and once activated, the system will allow the key to be turned to the 'off position' and removed while the engine remains running. The doors can then be locked and unlocked securely using the additional remote fobs (3 supplied). If an unauthorised person enters the vehicle and attempts to drive away, the Runlock System will automatically turn the engine off if any of the safety monitoring features are triggered. The owner of the vehicle will be required to reinsert the key into the Ignition in order to restart the vehicle.
As an additional feature, for vehicles that have rear door selectable locking, this system allows independent locking control of the front and rear doors, permiting the rear doors to be unlocked while leaving the front doors locked if required.

The interface incorporates a multi-function status LED, which indicates correct connection to the CAN system, CAN activity present and confirmation that the system is functioning.
